Flour Studio’s fast and frenzied take on table football, Brazilian style.

Pitch your skills against your friends and other visitors to win prizes in a game that takes its inspiration from ‘gambiarra’, the Brazilian approach to solving problems and getting things done.
Football is a very Brazilian theme indeed, but this version is based on an old Brazilian variety of a table football game in its original/historical form. The name is futebol de botão which translates as buttons’ football. It bears no similarity to British table football apart from the fact it is played on a table.
This is a traditional and very old Brazilian game. Its current version kits have a very branded and plastic feel. However, in historical accounts, hence its name, it was probably played with real coat buttons.
No Brazilian person 60 years old or younger would have ever played anything like that as it completely precedes current generations.
So Gambiarra Football is Flour Studio’s own interpretation and proposal for this game today.
