Love Plates_
Southbank Centre_London
Love Plates is a limited edition of commemorative plates to celebrate Britain in love.
For this participative public artwork people were invited to sit for portrait photographs and these images were transferred onto bone china plates designed especially for the Festival of Britain 60th anniversary at the Southbank Centre.
The plates were hung to form a ‘love wall’ during the Royal Wedding in 2011 celebrating and most importantly honoring the love between couples in Britain.
When the exhibition was taken down the plates were given as presents to all the participants to cherish.
Love Plates was a collaboration between Flour and Karen Richmond.
